Luis Cervantes has a long history with Back’s Construction and it’s field development. Luis stared in the Construction field in 1997. Before Back’s Construction he worked as a Superintendent for Rancho Santa Fe Technologies, Johnson & Jennings, and Staples Construction Inc. This experience and his relationships have made him well regarded with his fellow co-workers, Inspectors, Architects, Engineers and clients. The field experience and Luis’ knowledge of the trades has proven to be invaluable when coordinating difficult projects and implementing tight schedules. Luis has the unique ability to adapt to all projects thrown his way. He has worked on our typical high-end, fast pace Tenant Improvement projects, as well as the more technical Server Farm and lab environments. Being well rounded in the interior world of construction and its challenges has proven to his success in the ground up market as well. Luis has worked on projects for Staples Construction as a Superintendent in charge of the 10,000sq ft. with 3,000 sq ft. of SCIF lab - One million dollar AMCC Project and assisted in the Spectrum Corporate Plaza facility. Luis has worked on Tilt Up projects; from excavation, underground and site work and many complicated military projects to orchestrating the final coat of paint on your project. This “greater picture” knowledge and understanding of projects and how it relates to a true finish product has made him invaluable as one of our most prized field team members. Luis has also contributed his knowledge and carpentry skills to help out with the Children’s Hospital Ice Rink in downtowns Horton Plaza. Luis’ dedication to the community, his family and his career has made him invaluable to the Back’s Team and our clients. Luis will be the first to admit that he enjoys the challenges of his position. He does however love fishing, outdoor adventures, camping and traveling with his peers and his family to Mexico. Luis calls San Diego home with his wife Silvia and their children.
